Announcement of COAST 30th years anniversary

This year Coast turns 30 years since the inception in 1994. A special year with many accomplishment.

While the world celebrated the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer, and greeted Nelson Mandela as President, we took our initial steps as a small export company with big dreams. And let’s not forget the Channel Tunnel – which, in many ways, reflects our journey. They created a tunnel beneath the sea; we resolved to build bridges across it, connecting the world through our seafood.

 

Coast has experienced continuous growth since its establishment. As we have grown, both in scope and volume, we eventually chose to call ourselves a seafood company in 2018. Because the last ten years, we have expand in several industries, such as processing, whitefish, logistics and retail. Oslo Seafood and Cargo Center, Coast Tromsø, Berlevåg and Kjøllefjord, Agile Logistics, Sotra Fiskeindustri, Coast Retail AS and Vega Salmon become a member of the COAST family.

 

Further expanding on our progress, it’s crucial to highlight our significant investments, not only in Vega but also in the development in Sotra. We operate factories both within the EU and Norway, which providing us with the utmost flexibility in offering the most relevant products to our customers.

 

 

Additionally, our unique setup at Gardermoen deserves special mention. We have strengthened the entire industry’s cold chain by constructing a state-of-the-art cooling hotel. This initiative not only enhances our logistics but also ensures the quality and freshness of our products from source to shelf.

 

 

 

 

Our growth the last 30 years and until today, reflects the incredible expansion of Norwegian Salmon. And each one of our growth has not only been a step forward for COAST, but for the whole brand “Norwegian Salmon” – a brand that today is synonymous with high quality and sustainability world wide.

 

Coast 30th anniversary this year, will take place on September 13-14th in Måløy. We are looking forward to celebrate this year with colleagues, customers, suppliers, partners, friends and family.

 

Thank you to each and every one of you for being an integral part of Coasts history. It has been 30 incredible years filled with accomplishments, challenges, and shared successes. As we look to the future, we are excited about new opportunities, continued development, and further collaboration with all the wonderful people around us.
